Brexit Statement
We would like to take this opportunity to update you on the current actions being undertaken by James Robertshaw as a result of the UK’s scheduled withdrawal from the European Union on March 29th 2019. As we are getting closer to Brexit, the whole industry is trying to determine the likely consequences this may have on trade.
Whether the United Kingdom leaves the European Union with or without a withdrawal agreement in place, it is likely that Brexit will have an impact on our operations and supply chain. This impact is expected to mainly focus on the availability of raw materials used in the manufacture of our products.
We have in operation, an internal Brexit Working Group to assess the various implications, build scenarios and mitigate risks on raw material availability and transport of JR extruded stock products, to ensure we have a transition that is as smooth as possible for our customers when we enter this era of non-EU trade.
A number of risk mitigation measures have already been implemented, one being the increased stockholding of material and regular delivery of materials to produce finished JR products. We are both confident and determined we will see minimal impact on our business in light of Brexit and we remain committed to supporting all of our customers, stockists and business partners during this period of uncertainty.
Our commitment of manufacturing and delivering your awning, skylight and Eliminate products, within our usual 10-15 working day or sooner turnaround, will not waver. Our assurance to both our trade sub-dealers and your client base will remain the same.
As we get more information on the impending withdrawal we will do our upmost to keep you updated on any implications this may have. In the meantime, should you have any queries,
please do not hesitate to contact us, emailing [email protected]in the first instance. Yours Sincerely, Matthew Garnett Sales & Marketing Director
