Tiger (Storbox 400) Folding-Arm Awnings
When the celebrated Master Sommelier, Xavier Rousset, opened Blandford Comptoir, his new bistro in the heart of the West End, he knew that getting the right architectural look would be essential. This meant not only providing shade and shelter for the on-street diners, but also finding a product and supplier that would elegantly integrate with the overall design scheme. Restaurant Manager, Alice Bernigaud, was looking for style and impact, as well as increasing covers.
The understated facade and muted colours of the Blandford Comptoir exterior meant that any awning system would need to match perfectly to maintain a consistent style. In addition to this, the bistro’s position directly on a busy street in central London made it paramount that the awnings and fabric were durable and able to withstand the thick city air. Upon consultation and technical site survey, the stylistic and versatile A101: Tiger was specified and instructed.
Our team of expert installation engineers travelled with the manufactured systems from our production facility in Bolton to the site in London. After the working area is cordoned off to accommodate health and safety requirements, both awnings are installed, tested and demonstrated to the client.
From initial concept and site meeting, through to installation and sign off, the project was completed within a three-week turnaround. As well as fulfilling the brief of ‘style, impact, and durability’ the restaurant also gained an additional 12 x covers.
