Home Sweet Home, Great Northern Square

Home Sweet Home opened its second location in Manchester, situated amid the impressive Great Northern development in the heart of the city. As part of the Beautiful Drinks Company, Home Sweet Home has become synonymous with the new breed of high-quality, high-design bars and eateries that Manchester is becoming known for.

In order to take full advantage of the outside area available, Beautiful Drinks Company contacted James Robertshaw to help them create a statement space to front the new location for Home Sweet Home. Based around the high-quality Schattello parasol systems, complete with branding, a ‘city garden’ was imagined and brought to life amongst the stone and glass surroundings.

Due to planning condition restraints, we could not install ground insertion sleeves to support the parasols. This resulted in a full frame pedestal being required to support the parasol, with ballast weight. Overground electrical feed required, to power the dimmable, integrated Tansun heater systems.

Installation was scheduled and project managed within one working day, creating minimal disruption to the client.

Offering durable, reliable and long-lasting protection from both the rain and sunshine, the four Schattello parasol systems allowed this city oasis to function in all weather. Combined with planters bursting with greenery and flowers, picnic-style benches and garden fence barriers, James Robertshaw were able to deliver a unique customer experience.
