JLL & Renaker Project Build, Manchester

The Cambridge Street location has been the centre of a major regeneration project undertaken by JLL and their construction partner Renaker Build. They needed to find a commercial blind manufacturer and supplier who could deliver a stylish product that was both affordable and long-lasting. With over 40 years experience manufacturing and installing interior blinds, James Robertshaw were the obvious choice.

To fit out the 282 high-specification apartments, we recommended our bespoke V101: Ultimate vertical louvre blind system. Manufactured from high performance materials and designed to combine durability with elegance, the V101: Ultimate was the perfect system to integrate into the interior design of the 21 floors of modern living space.

Following our investment in BIM we were able to use BIM to showcase the additional benefits the V101 over alternative products available within the marketplace. As the product was initially designed and developed with clinical environments in mind, the wipeable PVC material prevents concealment of unwanted bacteria, germs and dust.

Because we manufacture all of our own products, we were able to work with JLL and Renaker Build throughout the entire project cycle, with Sales & Marketing Director Matthew Garnett personally project managing the scheme. From the first meeting with samples, through to specification, product design and manufacture, right through to delivery and install, our team kept JLL and Renaker Build involved and informed at all stages.

Project timeline – from initial consultation to project management, manufacture, install and sign-off: 3 months.
