WingLine Freestanding Awning
As part of an extensive renovation to revitalise the site, Yates’ Worksop needed to create a feature outside area to offer a welcoming and sheltered environment all year round. They wanted a solution that was flexible and adaptable enough to manage the unreliable British weather, but that still made a significant design statement.
The A104: WingLine from James Robertshaw is a twin mounted awning system that provides fully retractable weather protection combined with lighting and heating solutions. Its unique structure allows maximum coverage for outside seating with only minimal supporting frame, ensuring areas feel open-plan and social, without compromising shelter.
For Yates’, the WingLine installation is a Goalpost Structure, measuring a total of 10 metres x 5 metres and incorporates 8 high-power ambient heaters, providing year-round comfort for 32 seated covers as well as considerable standing space. Located at the back of the venue, its position overlooking the canal and park creates a perfect bridge from the bar out to the natural scenery.
